Karma Kettle Tea Room is located at Ballygunge, which offers you different types of tea with mouthwatering food.
I was invited to karma kettle tea room few days back for a bloggers meet and a tea tasting session.
I absolutely loved their Iced tea collections. I have my tea religiously every morning. Although,my knowledge about tea was zero until i visited Karma Kettle. City of Joy introduced me to this beautiful tea room. well, I am more than happy. Ambience and cafe decor needs to be mentioned especially. The wooden finished furniture and the greenery around this little cafe has my heart. I was in awe with the decor. If you are in Kolkata, and a tea lover just like me then you must visit this place. This particular place will stick in my memory for quite a long time for its peaceful and serene atmosphere.
We started with Tahiti which was made with dry strawberries, cocscum flower and hibiscus flower. There were no tea leaves. I quite enjoyed it. I would highly recommend this to everyone. Children can easily enjoy this option as there will be no tea leaves :)
I also tried their AAM SALAAM. While sipping, I felt like I am having Aam Panna. This is one of the best options for summer days. It’s ingredients are Black Tea , Green Mangoes, Ripe Mangoes with a pinch of chaat masala and sugar to taste.
Lastly, I had Pina colada over there which was basically made with Black Tea, coconut, pineapple and passionfruit.
They serve two different types of High Tea Platter. One is Gora Saheb and the second is Burra Saheb.
Gora Saheb High Tea Platter comes with 4 Finger Sandwiches, 1 Chicken Quiche, Two Coconut Macaroons, Walnut cake and a brownie.
The teas which were accompanied with Gora Saheb were –
1. Great Wall – Lonzing tea from China, pandam leaves, marsh mellow and melon.
2. Macha Mandarin Tea (Green tea, macha powder and mandarin orange peel)
3. Canton Tea (Oolong tea, handmade)
Lastly, I had some delicious momos.
The iced-teas are priced at 125/- + tax
Gora saheb high tea platter will cost you 450/- +taxes.
